Teagan's First night in the toddler bed

Ok, Ok I know I already posted something today and I may be getting a little too in to this whole blogging thing but this is too good to not share! So Friday night after a lot of fighting trying to get Teagan to lay down to bed I finally decided at 10 pm she was just going to have to cry it out for a little bit. So I came back downstairs and continued working on my blog when I realized that her cry was no longer coming from the monitor but from the top of the stairs....yep thats right my "monkey" aka Teagan had climbed out of her crib. So we decided its time to upgrade her to her toddler bed before she gets hurt climbing out of her crib. So here is a picture of how the first night went :) haha

My Latest adventure has been working with my horse Reece that I got for Christmas 3 years ago from my father in-law. Unfortunately I haven't been able to do much with her since I was pregnant the last 2 summers :) We just started working with her a few weeks ago and she is doing really well. The first night I was a little nervous because she wasn't real crazy about the halter and lead rope....but to save my mom from being scared we will leave that story out. Now she loves getting treats and she is enjoying all of the attention. Friday we decided to try out the saddle out on her that I bought used off of craigslist. Here is a picture of Reece and I with the saddle on and I'm walking her around the pasture.

In addition to working with my horse I have also started riding lessons at an arena in Ames on a "Safe horse" named Bonnie. Reece will being going to horse school in July so in a month or so I will be able to ride her :) While horses are an expensive hobby I remind Brandon it is cheaper then therapy!! It keeps me from going too "crazy" because its my get away.

Teagan loves to help out during bath time!! She really loves her sister and By Harper's face she is enjoying it too :)

Each week I have been trying to find different activities for us to do, a couple weeks ago I took the girls to the Berry Patch in Nevada to pick strawberries. It was a lot of fun and our friends Andrea, Alex, Ben, and Katie joined us.

We also enjoyed going to the dairy farm in Ames where Teagan got a tatto of a pig :)

What a week!!

Since it has been 90 degrees or higher all week we have not been able to get out much! It's just too miserable outside with the humidity. I thought I was handling being inside very well though...and for those of you that know me I hate being stuck inside, out in the country with no contact to the adult world!! Brandon gets home about 5:30 most nights and I'm ready to hand him the girls and take a break. Tuesday however after work he had to drive to Lineville to pick up a rake for the hay. (Which I found on craigslist :) So he didn't get home til 11 pm and by then both girls were in bed. But I did pretty well we all got supper that night and both girls got a bath, I did a lot of laundry and cleaning up around the house and I was feeling like a pretty good mom and wife.

By Thursday though I had hit the wall.....pretty sure I was going crazy (not a big surprise I know)!! Teagan had decided to take a short nap that afternoon and it was still too hot to go outside. I swear she was trying to do everything to annoy me.....All of her toys were out on the floor and every toy she wanted to play with made noise! While I was trying to feed Harper her bottle Teagan tried hard to get my attention by climbing into Harper's bouncy seat and swing and knocking everything over. When I didn't think it could get any worse it did:
Teagan has been doing really well potty training especially now that I've added the M&M incentive. Teagan gets M&M's and so does mommy its a win win situation. So after we sat on the potty and peed she ran around naked for like 10 min. I was OK with it I don't care she loves it and she just went potty so no problems right??! WRONG!! That's when she came up to me stuck her hand out and all over it was poop!! She had pooped all over the floor, on her foot, wiped her hand in it and got it everywhere. Then to top it off I got a text from Brandon and he's was going to be home later then he expected. But believe me when he got home I handed him both girls and took a much needed nap!!!
Today however has been fairly humerus and Brandon is suppose to be coming home early so things are looking up.
1. This morning Brandon being the sweet husband and dad that he is decided to get Teagan ready for the sitters since I had a doctors appointment. Teagan came in to my room to tell me goodbye and I just died laughing. Teagan was wearing Harper's 6 month clothes!! Teagan who wears mostly 24 month clothes had turned Harper's capri's into spandex shorts!! Now part of this was my fault because when doing the laundry I had hung Harper's outfit on a store hanger that evidently said 18 months so he thought that was the size. (even though I have reminded him time and time again not to look at the size on the hanger!!)
2. Teagan had gone to VBS with the sitter and her kids so Harper and I stopped by to watch the program after my doctors appointment. Teagan really got into dancing and singing with the older kids.
3. Brandon had left a cup of water on the end table in the living room which Teagan loves to try to get a drink. But when I heard a loud scream and a lot of crying I knew what had happened. Teagan had drenched herself with a whole cup of water. I just stood there and laughed at her soaked from head to toe!
